What We Believe

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. - Ephesians 4:5-6

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of True Believers Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

What We Believe.

True Believers is a church that has its basis in the infallible Word of God. The Word of God is the authority for salvation and holiness (II Timothy 3:15-17). Our belief and our lifestyle is based explicitly in the Bible and its principles.

About God

There is one God. He has chosen to reveal Himself as our Father, in His son, Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh (I John 5:20). He is God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

About Sin and Salvation

Everyone has sinned and desperately needs salvation. Salvation is totally and completely the grace of God imputed or applied to mankind through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; II Corinthians 5:19).

About the Gospel

The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Everyone that believes this, is enabled to experience the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8-9; I Peter 4:17, 18) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection) (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4). In the book of John, chapter 3, Jesus plainly states that unless a man is born again he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Not only that, He says that the one who is not born again cannot even perceive or understand the kingdom of heaven. This is the new birth process.

About Righteous Living

As believers we are to love God and others. We should live a life which is holy both inwardly and outwardly, and our worship of God will be joyful. The supernatural gifts of the spirit, including healing, are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).

About the Future

Jesus Christ is coming back to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death. Yes, heaven is real! Unfortunately, hell exists as well (I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11, 15).
